A second round of prototypes have arrived. These are great!
This is a true handheld famiclone with BASIC and educational games, USB charging, lithium battery, tft lcd, and av out.
We will be sending this feedback to the manufacturer and continue working towards full production.
Pros:
AV output functions on any tv supporting 4:3 aspect ratio.
USB mini port is used for charging its easy to access and replace BL-5C lithium battery.
A 3" tft gives better visuals than other 2" models.
256 built in games including Lucid Apogee software (including 65FC BASIC)
Is a true 8 bit computer with a proprietary chip in a blob most likely based on VRT.
Cons:
The A/B and X/Y buttons seem to be reversed? Not sure how to address this yet...
There seems to be some key bounce, but it hasn't broken the experience of typing. (the system is actually quite sturdy)
The pcb isn't the highest quality, but for the price of the unit it isn't too bad.
Biggest problem is the licensed games included, but this will be addressed during mass production.
